"Which facial should I get?" is the single most common question we hear at the reception desk. Both a classic facial and a Hydrafacial clean and refresh your skin, but they work quite differently — and knowing the difference helps you actually get what you're paying for.
What a regular facial does
A classic facial is a multi-step manual treatment: cleansing, steaming, extraction, a mask suited to your skin type, and a relaxing massage. It's excellent for general upkeep, relaxation, and addressing surface-level dullness or dryness. Most people benefit from one every 3–4 weeks.
What a Hydrafacial does
A Hydrafacial uses a machine-based, multi-step process — cleanse, exfoliate, extract and hydrate — using a vortex suction tip instead of manual extraction. It's noticeably gentler on sensitive skin, delivers more consistent exfoliation, and often shows more visible results after a single session, particularly for congested pores and uneven texture.
Which one actually suits you?
- Choose a regular facial if: you want a relaxing, budget-friendly monthly ritual and your main goal is general glow and stress relief.
- Choose a Hydrafacial if: you have congested or acne-prone skin, want more visible, consistent results, or you're prepping for a specific event like a wedding function within the next 1–2 weeks.
- Sensitive skin: the Hydrafacial's machine-controlled suction is typically gentler and more predictable than manual extraction.
Can you combine both?
Yes — many of our clients alternate: a Hydrafacial once a month for deeper results, with a lighter classic facial in between for maintenance and relaxation. Our skin consultants can look at your skin in person and recommend a schedule instead of guessing from a list online.
Not sure which is right for you? Book a free skin consultation at our Danapur studio and we'll recommend a treatment plan based on your actual skin, not a generic routine.
